It is hard to imagine our everyday lives without apps and they open up many possibilities and conveniences in all our lives. Now an app has also reached the agricultural and meat industry - and shows the potential to revolutionise it and provide a somewhat less stressful future for animals and humans!
Livestock sales in the digital age
With the app called viehworld, farmers can offer their livestock for sale from their own stables. This not only saves them the costly transport of animals to auction events. The offer also has advantages in terms of health, because animals often pick up diseases and injuries at auctions.
The interactive tool increases the added value for everyone involved in the market: for farmers buying and selling, livestock traders, consumers, auction halls, meat processors and the animals themselves.
